My origin story

I had no plan. No backup.

And no idea what the heck I was going to do next.

I didn’t know what I wanted in life… but I realized that I was not going to know until I made a move.

The only thing I knew was what I did NOT want: the job, career and life I was living right now.

Pretty much my entire life was in misalignment.

And somehow I knew deep down I wasn’t meant for a “normal life”. And that was enough to make everything click.

So I quit my job.

Ever since that day, my life has never been normal again.

Let me back up.

On paper, I had it all.

I was a physiotherapist.

Had the Master’s degree, the stable career, a healthy workspace and a “fulfilling” job helping people…

Sike.

I was ex-HAUS-ted at the end of every work day. Social battery, dead.

Having a last minute cancellation felt like receiving an Amazon package earlier than expected.

And I started thinking to myself “is this what my life gonna look like for the next 30 years?”. This thought made me feel so sick.

And then it happened.

One day, I asked for a week’s vacation. I didn’t care if it was paid or not, I just wanted time off. My friend was planning this surf trip and I wanted to join.

And my boss said no.

Oh. my. man.

Little did he (and I, actually) know what he had just unleashed. I was literally pissed. Since when am I refused time off??

No.

It made me re-question everything in my life.

And there was only one conclusion.

I was officially in the wrong lane.

No… on the wrong highway.

And headed in the wrong direction… at full speed.

So I slammed the breaks and did a full 180.

I’ve been driving off-road ever since…

And I’m never merging back.

P.S. When you sign up, I'll share what it was actually like to quit my job without a plan... and what happened next.

P.P.S. This was not about driving.

A few years ago I quit my job, sold everything, and boarded a one-way flight with only a backpack, a journal and no plan. Here, I share life updates + my perspective on life. If you want to read those (and laugh a little), give me your email and I'll send you one every week.
